FKLI opens at 979.5.  The long signal would be 983 while the short signal would be 978, whichever triggered first.

Update at 9.06 am – FKLI May 2009 contract price touched 983 and a long signal is triggered.  Place cut loss point 5 points away at 978 while take profit 5-7 points away at 988 to 900.

Update at 10.15 am – DONE!! 5 points profit taken when FKLI price touch our profit taking point of 988.

Performance so far for April 2009 = 30 points (RM1,500)/contract UP

Trading Tips for the Day

DJIA ended the session 168.78 points higher to settle at 8185.73 points as Feds sees the recession is beginning to ease although the economy is still receding.

Expect the FKLI to open higher.  For the May 2009 contract, the resistance level is at 978 so one can attempt to short at that point, support level is at 968 and one can attempt to long there, if the market price opens between these two figures. Target profit is about 5-7 points, while cut loss point is 5 points. If price breaks above 983 a breakaway trade can be initiated by going long, and if price breaks below 963 one can attempt to go short.  Please que your positions before market opens, and above levels are applicable for one trade per day only.  Updates on trade initiation will follow, stay tuned.  – 8.30 am

FKLI April 2009 contract opens at 1000.  If price touched 1002 first that would be our short selling signal while if price touches 992 first that will be our long signal.

Update at 8.48 am – Price touches 1002, and a sell signal has been triggered there.  Place stop loss 5 points away at 1007 while take profit 5-7 points away at 997 to 995.

Update at 9.13 am – Price touched our profit taking point of 997.  Very early today to win 5 points!!!
